Guelph Solar Lights Up Aaniin Community Centre & Library
At Guelph Solar, we’re excited to share our latest project—the solar installation at the Aaniin Community Centre & Library in Markham. This project is a great example of how we’re working to make our communities greener and more sustainable.
Brightening Up the Community
The Aaniin Community Centre & Library is more than just a modern building. Named after the Ojibway word for “hello” or “welcome,” it’s a place that represents Markham’s rich and diverse community. It offers a range of services and activities, including a library, sports facilities, and event spaces. Our solar panels are now helping to power this vibrant hub.
What We Did
Covering over 122,000 square feet and situated on more than 13 acres, the Aaniin Centre is a large facility with lots of energy needs. By installing solar panels on its roof, we’re helping to reduce its reliance on traditional energy sources. This means the Centre will save on energy costs and cut down on its carbon footprint—benefits that are good for everyone in the community.
Making a Difference Together
Our goal at Guelph Solar is to make it easier for places like Aaniin to use clean energy. We’re proud to be part of a project that not only supports the Centre’s mission to serve the community but also sets an example of how solar energy can make a difference.
Seeing our solar panels up and running at the Aaniin Community Centre & Library makes us excited about the future. It shows how we can all work together to create a greener, more sustainable world.
