Greener Homes Grants and Residential Solar

The Canadian government is taking steps toward building back better and at the same time encouraging homeowners to take action against climate change. Greener Homes Grants are available for homeowners to make energy efficient retrofits, including the installation of residential solar power.

Steve Dyck, President of Guelph Solar commented, “It’s a really exciting time to be thinking about solar power in Canada. Under the new Greener Homes program the homeowner can apply for up to $5,000 for installing solar equipment or other low-carbon upgrades to their home.”

The Government of Canada writes, “Greener Homes Grants will help homeowners make their homes more energy-efficient, create new jobs across Canada, grow our domestic green supply chains, and fight climate change.
